We listened to the end of his session.

He asked: “What else do you want to talk about?”

And his client brought up another connected topic…

A good question, but not a helpful one at this stage in the conversation.

 

Let it end. Bring closure together. There is more time at another time.

Instead you could say: We have another 10 minutes before we need to end. What is still open that we could work on another time?

What have you gained from our conversation?

What will you do to keep moving forward?

What support do you need to succeed?
