She said she wanted to pray.
In the middle of the session.
How do you want to pray?
Just asking him and being silent.
We were silent together, for a couple minutes.
What’s coming to you?
She had heard him. In the silence.
What does that mean to you?
They know better than I…
What are you motivated to do with that?
Prayer gives space to hear from the one who can speak so well. Don’t interrupt him by praying for the other. Be silent. Give space for the other to hear.
If I speak in prayer, or afterwards, the other might miss what needs to be heard.
Silence opens the space to hear words of life, direction, encouragement, repentance.. They are not mine. They are sacred.
What is your approach to this sacred space?
Ta ta, till next time.
